About the Ferry Operator

Smyril Line specializes in freight and passenger transport across the North Atlantic, connecting mainland Europe with Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The company was founded in 1982 by experienced ship officers. With the deployment of the current M/S Norröna, Smyril Line commenced scheduled operations in 1983 and has since established itself as a prominent player in international ferry and freight transport.
